Philippines Internet Intermittent Connection

After the Taiwan earthquake which damaged some underwater fiber optic cables linking telephone lines and internet to the Philippines makes my online job worst. My internet connection for the past two days is really slow. Almost all Filipinos are experiencing this intermittent connections. Taiwan largest telecommunication company already launched a massive underwater repair for the fiber break. Good to hear that! I wonder how the telecommunication companies here in the Philippines are reacting in this kind of situation. This is really a bad New Year welcome for me.
