File sharing using network hard drives

Hard drives today are becoming more sophisticated and offers large disk space. Hard drives come in many different sizes and configurations. How much data a hard drive can hold is measured in gigabytes or GB. In a Local Area Network or LAN environment sharing files is quite necessary. When files are shared over a network, the computer sending the files are maximizing its system usage thus slowing down the computer itself. I've been into this situation many many times, sending and receiving files over LAN is a hassle. Both computers are affecting each other especially when bigger files are transferred like videos and many mp3s. The solution to this problem is by using a Network Hard Drive - NAS. NAS are hard drive connected to a single network and all users in that network can access all files in the Network Hard Drive. File sharing can never been easier without this great hardware.
