Villoria got a draw

Too bad Villoria got a draw today over his match with reigning champ "nino". Mexico's Omar Nino Romero retained the World Boxing Council light flyweight title here Saturday on a majority draw despite being knocked down twice by Filipino-American ex-champion Brian Viloria. Two judges saw the 12-round bout 113-113 while the third saw Romero a 115-112 winner. Omar's record went to 24-2 with two drawn and left him unbeaten in his past six fights. Viloria went to 19-1 with one draw.

The result allowed 30-year-old Romero to keep the crown he took from Viloria last August by winning a 12-round decision, a verdict that delivered the first pro loss for Viloria, a 25-year-old Hawaiian of Filipino heritage.
