Microsoft buys virtual voice firm Colloquis
Another acquisition by Microsoft. *whew* Microsoft announced a deal on Thursday to buy Colloquis, a privately held firm specializing in virtual service agents programmed to answers questions online. The Colloquis service agent technology has been used by companies such as Cingular Wireless, Cox Communications, Panasonic Corporation, Time Warner Cable and Vonage Holdings Corporation. I wonder why Microsoft let Google buy YouTube maybe they just missed that big opportunity.
